You might say that we are simply a Bible believing church, we speak where the Bible speaks and we remain silent where the Bible is silent. We do NOT believe we are the only Christians, but we are Christians only. We accept UNITY in the essentials given in the Bible and understand that there needs to be liberty in the non-essentials. We use the New International Bible for the most part, but other translations are welcomed as well. We are students of the word, learning from scripture and keeping each other accountable. We welcome anyone questioning where we get such beliefs, for the scripture should be checked to be sure that what is being taught is from God's Holy and infallible WORD.
We believe that baptism is an essential part of the salvation process, each person must first hear the Word, believe what they have heard, confess that they are a sinner in need of Jesus as Savior, repent of their sins, (that is walk away from the life they were living) and be baptized. Baptism in immersion in water FOR the forgiveness of sins and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38)
After that we encourage people to continue coming to church HEB. 10:25 and to work through their salvation with fear and trembling PHP 2:12. We celebrate the Lord's Table, (communion) each week. ACTS 20:7 and we believe a church to be much more than a building, they are God's family and each person plays an intricate part in the success or failure of the church.
We believe salvation to be a FREE gift from God, but we also believe that you can return that gift at any time by walking away from your salvation, so we do NOT accept once saved, always saved.
